October exhibition at nenagh library

Nenagh Library is delighted to welcome back Margaret O'Gorman from Newport who will be exhibiting her artwork at the library for the month of October.

Margaret has exhibited a few times at the library over the years and this, her largest collection of paintings so far, is an entirely new collection. Painting mostly in oils, she mixes stunning seascapes with wonderfully atmospheric  scenes from nature, many of them local to Newport and its surrounding areas. Amongst this collection of 43 paintings are still lifes, so detailed that they seem almost three dimensional and the entire collection is a mix of traditional and modern subjects on view here, all competing to draw the eye with the result that the visitor could happily spend 30/40 minutes simply staring at the individual pieces.
