Nenagh christmas tree festival 2014
Only 12 days to go to the opening of the Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary's Church of Ireland!
The tree count is now an amazing 71, which will definitely be worth a visit! There is such diversity of exhibitors from Equistyle to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, from Ryan’s Florist to the RNLI, from Nenagh Men’s Shed to the Country Market. We are delighted that so many and such different organisations have understood and got behind the whole idea, and we sincerely hope that the people of Nenagh and the much wider community will embrace it too.
Visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite tree, with a fun prize being awarded to the winner at the end of the festival. We also have some lovely prizes for the raffle and cash prizes for the quiz sheets. We have an army of home bakers at the ready to provide the delicious refreshments (including afternoon tea served from 2.30 - 5.30pm throughout) and the jam makers have been furiously filling jars for the produce stall.
A few examples of the musical and worship events to be held throughout the festival (some during festival hours and some from 8pm) include carols from Nenagh Town Band Group, Compline by Candlelight, carols from our own Junior Choir, organ music and a special 'Blue Christmas' service.
So come along and enjoy this event! You will also be supporting Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and all our local exhibitors.
The festival will run from Sunday 14th until Sunday 21st December, 2-8pm, with official opening on Saturday 13th at 6.30pm. Admission will be €3 per person, with children (accompanied by an adult) free.
