** Blue Christmas, or 'Longest Night', is a service for people suffering from pain, loss, isolation or grief, in the Advent season. This service is usually held on or around December 21st – the longest night of the year. It is for those for whom Christmas time is not a time of joy – for those who are lonely, mourning, alienated, cast out from family celebrations.
A Blue Christmas service offers special recognition of the struggles many people face during this season. The Blue Christmas Service will take place in St Mary's on Saturday December 20th.
