Nenagh fun run for the fleadh

A very successful Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan meeting was held in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh on Thursday night last with many items on the agenda.
The main focus at the moment is on the upcoming fun run/walk, 5k/10k, which will be held on Sunday December 28th starting at 11am from Nenagh CBS. The Fleadh Cheoil committee is working very hard behind the scenes to ensure its success. Your support is vital at this stage so come along on the 28th.
This run/walk on the 28th is your opportunity to show that we here in Tipperary are embracing the Fleadh. It is a huge honour to host this event so this is your chance to come out and help to ensure that this Munster Fleadh Cheoil will be most memorable and the best yet! This run/walk is for everyone – young and not so young – where everyone can go at their own pace, so use this opportunity to shed the turkey, Christmas pudding, and mince pies!

Nenagh Ormond branch of Comhaltas is hosting the Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan for the first time in its history next July. It will be a major event for the town and the surrounding areas. People will travel from far and near to hear traditional music at its best, to flavour the atmosphere and to experience the Fleadh in the true meaning of the word. It is a huge opportunity to showcase our town and surrounding areas as a vibrant centre where visitors can come, stay and enjoy themselves, participate in events organised and savour the hospitality of the region and its people.
Staging an event of this magnitude doesn't just happen, it requires a lot of dedication, hard work and commitment and the people involved are working night and day to ensure that it is a resounding success.
