Scouts hall opening this saturday
Nenagh's newly refurbished Scouts Hall will be officially opened with a night of music and celebration this Saturday, January 17th.
Ger McCarthy, Chairman (and Director) of Nenagh Choral Society Limited, this week stated that Phase 1 of the Scouts Hall renovation project is now complete. This is fantastic news for Nenagh Choral Society, the town of Nenagh and the wider community of North Tipperary.
Completed works in Phase 1.
1. Structural change to foyer and entrance - all internal.
2. New refurbishment and layout change to ladies and gents toilets.
3. Upgrade to the tea/coffee dock area with new coffee dock.
4. New reception/office and welcoming area.
5. Restoration of all floors.
6. Installation of new plumbing systems.
7. Installation and fitting of all electrics – including phase 3 power.
8. Slight structural change to the width of the stage.
9. New ladies/gents dressing rooms including showers and toilet facilities.
10. Modifications to the stage floor and surrounds.
11. Modifications and accessibility to the loft area for storage.
12. Installation of new heating and ventilation system.
13. Fitting and certification of all fire safety regulations.
We will now plan our works for Phase 2 and 3 on the refurbishment project. Details will be shared in the near future.
This coming Saturday we officially open the hall with a night of dancing with Ebony, the Swing College Show Band, Joe Hackett, Nenagh Choral Society, Keith MacDonald and Crystal Swing. There will be a fully licenced bar and hot food served on the night with dancing to 12.30am.
Doors open at 7.30pm with the official blessing and opening ceremony around 8pm. During the ceremony, patrons will be able to watch a presentation on the various stages of the refurbishment from start to completion.
This is a momentous occasion for Nenagh Choral Society and for all the people of Nenagh. We look forward to seeing you all this Saturday and tickets can be purchased from Talbot Menswear, Rohan's Bar or in the Scouts Hall from 2pm to 5pm daily.
