Dawn of a new era for nenaghs scouts hall
A large crowd beheld another joyous night for Nenagh last Saturday with the official reopening of the town's longtime derelict Scouts Hall.
In what Minister Alan Kelly termed a 'very historic occasion' for Nenagh, the newly revamped hall was presented to the community in a night of music, dancing, food and merriment. RTÉ even came down to capture the occasion for its 'Nationwide' programme.
And there was indeed the sense of a hand of history on the night, with many speakers alluding to bygone days at the hall and the work of its past custodians.
