Traffic management plan for nenagh

Nenagh Municipal District Council is to advertise a new traffic management plan for Nenagh.

Last week's meeting of the council was told that a draft plan has been prepared and would be put on public display for a period of six weeks. The council is inviting submissions and is prepared to meet with any group that has views on the plan.

Cllr John Carroll (FF) said it is important for the council to have continuous interaction with local business groups. Often issues arise when it is too late to do anything about them, he said.
Cllr Phyll Bugler (FG) agreed, saying the council could not do much for people raising issues after the plan is adopted.
Director of Services Marcus O'Connor stressed that plan would not be an 'overnight job'. It will be clearly advertised and there will be plenty of opportunity for discussion.
