Taoiseach to visit templemore garda college

Tipperary TD Noel Coonan said An Taoiseach Enda Kenny is visiting Templemore next Monday morning to welcome the latest batch of 100 Garda students to enter Templemore Garda College. Deputy Coonan will also attend the ceremony with An Taoiseach and said this third intake of students is a further welcome boost to Templemore's economy.

'Fine Gael in Government has proven our commitment to increasing Garda numbers on the street and prioritising policing as soon as was possible after the mismanagement of the previous Government. An Taoiseach will be visiting to reiterate our dedication to this most recent and important intake of students,' said Deputy Coonan.

'An Taoiseach will also be visiting St Patrick's College, Thurles to see first hand the wonderful facilities at the college and for discussions with college administrator Fr Tom Fogarty,' concluded Deputy Coonan.
