August art exhibition at nenagh library
Nenagh Library is delighted to host local artist Jane Hogan's exhibition for the month of August.
Jane, originally from Newtown but now living in Nenagh, qualifyed with a degree in Fine Art Printmaking from Limerick School of Art & Design in 2003. Having spent several years in Dublin, she made the decision to move back home and set about realising her dream of working within the art sector and showcasing her own original pieces.
She has just qualified as an Art & Design secondary school teacher, graduating from Limerick School of Art & Design. She has also enjoyed working with the local Foróige youth group based in the Nenagh Arts Centre, working alongside the youth officers there, organising and implementing suitable art projects for the kids.
Jane has exhibited in several exhibitions, both locally and nationally, most recently exhibiting in Gallery Revival, Moneygall. This exhibition is her first solo show.
'The Story So Far' is a collection of most recent pieces as well as pieces she has created down through the years. The works are a combination of vibrant, striking pictures and delicate, romantic photographic images. Something for everyone.
She launched her exhibition on Saturday August 8th to an enthusiastic crowd of supporter sand was delighted to see several pieces being snapped up before the end of the day. So do come along to Nenagh library and catch this up and coming local artist's work in her first solo show.
