Closure of nenaghborrisoleigh road

Tipperary County Council has made an order for the closure of the Nenagh-Borrisoleigh road from Monday August 31st to Friday September 4th.

The council has advised that the R498-0097 at Borrisoleigh is to close from Ballyroan Bridge to Kearns Cross on the Borrisoleigh/Nenagh road. Traffic will be diverted from Borrisoleigh on the R501 towards Templemore, the N62 towards Roscrea, and on the M7 to Nenagh, and vice versa.
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.  The purpose of this closure is to facilitate road reconstruction.
The council has also advised that sections of the M8 motorway are to be closed between August 31st and September 23rd to facilitate the replacement of road studs. The works are due to take place from 18.30hrs to 07.00hrs so that the road will be open during the day. Further details are on the council's website.
