M8 road closures in october

Tipperary County Council has made an order for sections of the M8 (Dublin-Cork) motorway to be closed during October.

The closures are to be as follows: Closure 1: October 5th - Junction 7, Cashel North to Junction 9, Cashel South, Southbound; Closure 2: October 6th - Junction 6, Horse and Jockey to Junction 4, Urlingford, Northbound; Closure 3: October 7th - N24 from Junction 10, Cahir North to the Knockagh roundabout east and westbound.
Alternative routes: Closure 1: R639 through Cashel town and back onto motorway at Junction 9; Closure 2: R639 and back onto motorway at Junction 4; Closure 3: R670 through town of Cahir.
The duration of these closures will be from 18.30hrs to 07.00hrs. The council has advised that the sections motorway are being closed to facilitate the replacement of road studs.
