Playground plan for roscrea

Tipperary Co Council has received a planning application for a new playground in Roscrea.

Tesco developer TCORP Properties is seeking permission for a children's play area together with associated playground pavilion on the plaza adjoining the existing supermarket. The developer states that the proposal is a modification to the permitted development and is in lieu of the requirement to provide a cafe at the site.
The application includes additional landscaping and all associated site development works and services. The proposed development is within the curtilage of Protected Structures, namely the Black Mills and Round Tower.
The council is to issue a decision on the development by November 8th.
