Submissions sought on Nenagh Thurles road plans
Tipperary Co Council is inviting submissions on its plans to realign a dangerous section of road between Nenagh and Thurles at Latteragh.
The council is developing a road improvement scheme along the R498 regional road with a study area within the townlands of Ballincurry, Ballyconnor, Carrick (Peacocke), Carrick (Dawson), Carrick (Maunsell), Tiermoyle, Curragh, Killanafinch, Lackenavorna, Sallypark, Knocknagoogh, Lackakera, Garrane, Bigpark, Latteragh, Gurteen, Glenmore Lower, Glenmore Upper, Currabaha, Grangeroe and Glenbreedy.
A public consultation process is underway to inform members of the public of the proposed study area, the collation of constraints and the development of route corridors, and for the public to raise concerns and comments for consideration during the route selection stage. A public consultation meeting took place at the council's Civic Offices last week.
Details of the realignment proposals will remain on display at the Civic Offices in Nenagh until November 20th. An online consultation form is also available on the council's website. Submissions may be made by November 20th.
