Discussions on Ballina car park
Nenagh Municipal District Council has examined several sites and held discussions with landowners in trying to provide a car park in Ballina.
Cllr Phyll Bugler (FG) told the November meeting of the council that there have been several discussions over the last eight months. It is now imperative that a plan for a car park be produced because the town is “stifled for car parking”, Cllr Bugler said. People will go elsewhere if the council cannot solve the problem, she added.
Director Marcus O'Connor agreed but said people must be aware that the council needs to acquire suitable land in order to provide a car park in Ballina.
