Coolbawn artist's exhibition at Nenagh Library
Peggy Haugh from Kevinstown, Coolbawn, is currently exhibiting her work in Nenagh Library, the first of our exhibitors for 2016.
Peggy began attending classes in 2010 with Margaret England, whom she credits for encouraging her to take up painting and giving her the confidence to develop her talent. She loved attending her painting classes, which were held weekly in the Day Care Centre in Nenagh. Painting gives her great pleasure and she would advise anyone who is interested in it to take it up, attend some classes and pursue their interest. It is something that they will be able to enjoy for the rest of their lives.
Peggy’s collection is an eclectic mix, sometimes harking back to history for inspiration, with pictures of families from bygone eras featuring alongside landscapes and still life paintings. Historical sites of local and national interest also feature in this colourful and interesting exhibition, which will be with us for the month of January.
