New manager at Nenagh Community Training Centre
The Board of Nenagh Community Training Centre was very pleased to recently announce that Rose Shanahan has been appointed as the new permanent manager of the centre.
Ms Shanahan has taken over from Michael Collins, who came out of retirement to take temporary charge of the education centre (formerly known as the Young Nenagh Project) two-and-a-half years ago. To mark the occasion of his second retirement, the centre's catering instructor, Carmel Finn, baked Michael a cake.
Mr Collins not only ‘steadied the ship’ but brought his wealth of expertise to the centre, and for that both the staff and the students are very grateful.
The centre at John's Lane is blessed with outstanding instructors who are dedicated to helping early school leavers (aged 16-21) back onto the road of formal education. We offer a number of courses that lead to major QQI Level 3 or Level 4 awards and we’re always on the lookout for potential students to join our current cohort of excellent students, whose positive approach has helped foster a vibrant but relaxed atmosphere in the centre. Come and join us!
