Draws for the Minor and U21 Championship 2017
The draws for the 2017 Munster U17, Minor and U21 Hurling and Football competitions took place on Thursday October 20th last.
The Tipperary U21's have a tough draw, which will see them travel to play Limerick in the Munster Quarter-Final with the winners playing Clare.
All-Ireland U21 champions Waterford will host Cork in the other Semi-Final.
In U21 Football, Tipperary will also be away to Limerick with the winners playing the defending Munster U21 Football champions Cork.
Kerry (Munster and All-Ireland Minor Champions the last three seasons) will play Clare with the winners playing Waterford in the other side of the draw.
In the Minor Hurling, defending Munster and All-Ireland Champions Tipperary will host Limerick in the first round.
The winner of this game will progress to the semi-finals, while the loser will play Cork.
Waterford will play Clare in the other first round match.
Minor Football, sees Tipperary having home advantage against Cork in the first round, with Kerry facing off against Clare, while Limerick take on Waterford in the other first round game.
Following the success of a motion to Annual Congress to reduce the Minor age limit from U18 to U17, the 2017 Inter-County Minor Championships will be the last to played as an U18 competition.
In order to cater for players born in 2000, a special one-off competition has been organised for U17 players (players born in 2000 only).
In U17 Hurling, Tipperary have been drawn to play Cork or Limerick in the Munster Semi-Final - Kerry will play Clare with the winners playing Waterford in the other side of the draw.
The U17 Football, Tipperary take on Clare in the Quarter-Final will the winners playing Kerry in the Semi-Final.
Cork will play Waterford will the winners playing Limerick in the other side of the draw.
