Christian Aid coffee morning in Roscrea
The Methodist Church Hall on the Mall in Roscrea will be the scene of considerable activity on the morning of Saturday November 26th.
Come and join in! This is the annual pre-Christmas Christian Aid coffee morning, with proceeds going to help the most needy in the world to help themselves.
Christian Aid (Ireland), along with many aid agencies, has been helping those affected by recent and ongoing events in Gaza and Haiti, Syria and Iraq. The agency has also been playing a vital role in supporting refugees in camps in Greece, as well as excellent (and fairly-traded) coffee and tea, along with homemade goodies.
There will be an opportunity to shop for cakes, jam and other delicious things for the weekend. Writing Christmas cards can be a chore, but if you know you are helping other people by buying Christian aid Christmas cards, it may help! There will be a wide selection of colourful cards.
And if you are looking for that novel to read in front of the fire on cold winter evenings, you may well find it here! You might even consider bringing in some you have already read and so contribute to a great cause!
The coffee morning will run from 10.30am until 12.30 pm – please do come and bring your friends! We look forward to seeing you.
