Bealtaine at Nenagh Library
May’s exhibition in Nenagh Library is by the Killoran Art Group. This group of talented amateur artists has been meeting weekly for many years now under the tutelage of Josie Croft, and we are delighted to welcome them back to Nenagh Library. This is a varied collection in terms of art materials and subject matter, with something for everyone to enjoy.
As part of Bealtaine, Tipperary Libraries will host the Men's Shed Roadshows, and so on Monday morning, May 22nd and Tuesday morning, May 23rd , we are delighted to welcome Nenagh Mens’ Shed, who will showcase their woodwork skills and talk to anyone who wishes to learn about the Men’s Shed and what it’s all about.
On Wednesday May 24th from 10am – 2pm there will be a Sewing Workshop, with light refreshments served. Staff member Jane Bulfin will show you how to make a tote bag. Please note – this workshop is free but is strictly limited in numbers. Please book your place by phoning Nenagh Library on (067) 34404.
The Nenagh Knitting Circle, who meet on the last Tuesday of the month, are holding an open night on Tuesday May 30th from 5.45pm. Light refreshments will be served.
The adult evening book club will meet at 6.45pm on Tuesday May 30th. New members always welcome.
Note also that Children’s Literacy Storytime will be held in the library on Wednesday May 17th at 2pm. Bring your toddler/preschooler to hear our stories. Remember, it’s never too early to give them the gift of reading.
