Seizure of dogs and horses in Tipp
A total of 595 dogs were surrendered or seized by dog wardens in Tipperary last year.
Of this number, 466 were re-homed, according to recently circulated draft figures for the year.
Tipperary Co Council works with a number of animal welfare organisations in the re-homing of dogs. The number of dogs licensed in the county in 2016 was 9,469.
Meanwhile the number of horses seized in Tipperary last year stands at 129.
