Tipp motor tax almost €13m
Motor taxation revenue of more than €12.8 million was generated in Tipperary last year.
Draft figures for the year from Tipperary Co Council itemise receipts from the motor tax offices in Nenagh and Clonmel. More than €9 million was taken in for private cars and motor cycles, with almost €3 million for goods and other vehicles, in addition to almost €800,000 for miscellaneous items.
Most (65%) tax discs were issued online, with the remainder issued by the Nenagh and Clonmel offices. A total of 206,776 tax discs were issued in Tipperary last year.
