West End director Andy Weiss has been in contact with Nenagh Choral Society.

West End message to Nenagh Choral Society

Rehearsals are in full swing for Nenagh Choral Society Youth Academy's production of 'Les Misérables', which opens on Wednesday October 11th and runs to Sunday October 15th.

We have a cast of 67 young people taking part, ranging in age from 13 to 18, under the direction of Greg Browne, Director, William Cullagh, Musical Director and Stephanie Browne, Choreographer, as well as the rehearsal co-ordination team of Margaret McGee, Chairperson NCS; Gerry Scanlon, Vice Chairperson; Margaret Molloy and Marese Dolan, Committee members.

They have been rehearsing since early July and now the fruits of their labour are coming to fruition in this not-to-be-missed production. Final nails are being hammered by our set construction team and stitches being put into costumes by the wardrobe dept, and the paint is drying as we speak.

Last Friday the cast were graced with a personal message from Andy Reiss, London's West End performer and Director and Musical Director of 'Les Misérables'. Andy is presently Director of the 'Beyond the Barricades' musical theatre show, which is currently touring worldwide.

“I hope rehearsals are going very well and I send all good wishes to each and every member of the team,” was Andy's message to the Nenagh group. It was a huge boost for our young cast to receive a message from such a high profile performer. The message was delivered in person by Andy's Personal Assistant Tara Killilea.

Ticket sales have been brisk since the box office opened last Thursday in the Scouts Hall, Nenagh. Box office is open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday or tickets can also be booked on 086-3122725. Book early to avoid disappointment.
