Thomond Park sold out for Munster v Leinster Clash
The scene is set for another momentous atmosphere at Thomond Park on St Stephen’s Day as all 26,267 tickets have now been sold for Munster's clash with Interpro rivals Leinster in the Guinness PRO14 (3.15pm).
Additional seating has been installed in the North and South Terraces to facilitate as many supporters as possible with the attendance now set to be the highest ever for a PRO14/PRO12 fixture at Thomond Park.
In keeping with previous years, the fixture has been nominated as Munster’s official “Charity Match” with this season’s nominated charity, Irish Heart Foundation, to benefit.
€1 from each match programme sold on the day will be donated to the charity and Anne Riordan, Irish Heart Regional Manager for Munster, will be presented with a signed Munster jersey on pitch at half-time.
As part of this season’s ongoing charity partnership the province is working closely with the Irish Heart Foundation in driving CPR awareness across the province in memory of Anthony Foley.
In raising awareness for the work that is carried out by the Irish Heart Foundation and highlighting the importance of CPR training, it is envisaged more lives can be saved from sudden cardiac death.
