Dogs put down in Tipp

A total of 105 dogs have been put down in Tipperary, according to the county council's December 2017 Management Report.

The figure for dog pick-ups stood at 421, with 171 surrendered and 72 reclaimed. A total of 316 dogs were sent to animal rescue centres and 54 were re-homed. 105 were put down while four died from natural causes.

Just under 9,000 dog licences were issued by the council.
