Increase in Tipp planning applications
The number of planning applications received by Tipperary Co Council increased by 19% in 2017.
A total of 1,397 planning applications were received by the council between January 1st and December 19th last year. This compares with 1,173 over the same period in 2016.
Of the applications received last year, 397 were deemed invalid and 39 were withdrawn. During the period, 960 applications were decided with 927 being granted planning permission and 33 being refused. Further information was requested in 388 cases.
Meanwhile the council's planning department received 155 complaints between January 1st and November 30th 2017. During this period, 123 Warning Letters and 22 Enforcement Notices were issued.
