Work recommences at Nenagh hospital
Labour TD Alan Kelly said he was delighted that work has recommenced on the new medical block at Nenagh hospital.
He confirmed that Martins Construction have commenced this week on finishing off the work on the building after being appointed by the HSE. Work halted last November when the previous contractors went into examinership.
The work includes refurbishment of the existing ward accommodation along with a new single storey extension. The project, a 24-bed unit, includes 16 medical beds in single units.
“It is hoped Phase One will be opened now by September and that phase 2 will be finished within 11 months,” said Deputy Kelly.
