TIPPERARY v CORK

The Ragg

Saturday 7th July

Throw-in @ 5.00pm.

Referee: Owen Elliott (Antrim)

It’s going to be a big day on Saturday next as the Ragg hosts a big camogie championship double-header.

The Tipperary Intermediate team get the action underway when they face Antrim at 3.00pm as the curtain-raiser to the main event with Tipperary facing Cork in the senior championship at 5.00pm.
Tipperary senior manager Bill Mullaney will be pleased with his charges so far with two wins from two against Meath and Wexford. However, he knows that there is much to work on for this upcoming outing in particular against the reigning All Ireland champions who easily disposed of the Premier challenge in the Munster final less than two months ago.

So, can Tipperary stop Cork in their tracks?

That’s a big ask,” admitted Mullaney.

On the way home from Wexford we were delighted with the win and then we didn’t know if we were happy with the performance overall.

We know how hard Cork is going to be, they are a different class again but as usual we will work hard and prepare for them. We already have suffered a hard defeat to them in the Munster final as well, so it’s a big ask against Cork but we’ll give it our best and take it from there,” he said.
