Easier semi-final path up for grabs

Tipperary play Dublin in their final group game in the All Ireland senior championship this Sunday needing just a point to confirm their place in the knockout stages.
Both sides are on the cusp of making the quarter finals and should Offaly fail to beat Cork in their final game, Tipp and Dublin will progress to the August 4 quarter finals.
However, this game is hugely important as the winners will finish in second place and will face a potentially easier quarter final against Clare or Waterford while the loser would have to face the might of either Galway or Kilkenny.
Both sides have had a very successful journey to date with Tipperary dramatically overcoming Offaly on Saturday to make it three wins out of four games played, same as Dublin who beat Wexford in their outing. Both sides lie in second place at the table, with only points difference separating them in Tipperary's favour so a draw will do for the Premier girls also against a Dublin side that impressed in reaching last years semi-finals.
Tipp sharpshooter Cáit Devane, who carried an injured knee into the Offaly game, knows only too well the task that lies ahead when Tipp travel up to Parnell Park at the weekend.
“It’s going to be another strong challenge coming in the same week as the last tough game but we’ll treat it like all the others and give it our best and see where we go from there and we’ll take nothing for granted,” she said.
