Tipperary Club Camogie Championships Up and Running

The Tipperary Senior and Intermediate players had no time to celebrate their progress to their respective All Ireland semi finals as the club championship got right down to business with round one taking place last midweek.
Eight clubs are battling it out at senior level to establish who will go forward to the semi-finals which are fixed for Saturday 29th September and the final on Saturday 13th October.
Present title holders and Munster champions Burgess/Duharra are joined by Cahir, Silvermines and Drom & Inch in Group 1 while Nenagh, Borris-Ileigh, Eire Og Annacarty, and Clonoulty/Rossmore are in group 2.
In group 1 so far, reigning champions Burgess/Duharra who have already signalled their intentions with a very tight 3-10 to 2-12 over Drom & Inch in the first round and a 4-8 to 1-11 win over Silvermines in the second round. Silvermines defeated Cahir 0-22 to 1-10.
Group 2 saw wins for Nenagh Eire Og 3-15 to 0-12 over Borris-Ileigh and Clonoulty/Rossmore 1-16 to 1-4 over Eire Og Annacarty. Clonoulty made it two wins from two with a 6-17 to 1-8 win over Borris-Ileigh while Eire Og Annacarty bounced back to beat Nenagh 1-11 to 2-6.
The remaining games are fixed for the weekend of 15-16 September, Burgess/Duharra v Cahir; Silvermines v Drom & Inch; Nenagh Eire Og v Clonoulty/Rossmore and Borris-Ileigh v Eire Og Annacarty.
