Further info sought on pharmacy plan for Nenagh
Further information has been sought on a plan for a new pharmacy opposite Mulrooney's service station on Nenagh's Borrisokane Road.
Carius Ltd is seeking planning permission to demolish the existing commercial and residential units on the site beside Tesco's car park. The applicant plans to construct a new pharmacy together with onsite parking and a new entrance.
In requesting further information on the plan, Tipperary Co Council informed the applicant that the proposal is “located in a conspicuous location within the town of Nenagh.
“A high quality of design is, therefore, required. The proposed building is quite long with a complex fenestration pattern on the main elevation. The applicant is requested to submit a revised design proposal which reduces the overall length by altering the footprint of the unit to break up the overall length of the proposed development.”
Among other requirements, the applicant has been asked to submit revised drawings including further details of provision for pedestrian access to the adjoining Tesco site. Proposals are also sought for the removal of any asbestos found within the buildings for demolition.
