5 Tipp players nominated for Camogie All Stars
All Ireland semi-finalists Tipperary have five players nominated for 2018 Camogie All Stars.
Defenders Mary Ryan (Moneygall) and Karen Kennedy (Thurles Sarsfields) are joined by forwards, captain Orla O’Dwyer (Cashel), Cáit Devane (Clonoulty/Rossmore) and Grace O’Brien (Nenagh Eire Og).
All-Ireland champions Cork and Kilkenny lead the shortlist with the final team will be announced at the 15th annual Camogie All-Stars Awards banquet, sponsored by Liberty Insurance in Citywest Hotel on Saturday, November 3rd.
League champions Kilkenny received 14 nominations with Cork, who won a record 28th Senior All-Ireland title, receive 12 nominations; Gemma O’Connor has been nominated at midfield and is seeking an incredible 11th All Star Award
Galway received 5 nominations as a result of their run to the semi-finals while quarter finalists Waterford receive 4; Dublin received 3 while Offaly rounds off the lost with 2 nomination.
Paudie Murray (Cork), Shane Plowman (Dublin) and Ann Downey (Kilkenny) are the nominees for Manager of the Year, which will be announced on the night along with the 2018 All-Stars team.
