Nenagh Ormond’s poor start to the season continued as a second half implosion gave visitors Blackrock College the victory in round 2 of the All Ireland League last Saturday.

After the loss away to Navan the previous weekend, Nenagh would have been looking to steady the ship, but it now reads zero points on the board for Nenagh after their opening couple of fixtures, they will be hoping that the return of a few key players in the coming weeks will help turn their fortunes around before they are left behind in the promotion shake up.

Nenagh had first use of the elements in the opening half, and they wasted absolutely no time in getting their running game up and going. Spectators who were lax in getting in before kick-off will have missed a brace of tries inside the first two minutes from the home sode, both coming from deep with some incisive passing and running leading to Ger McNamara and Patrick Scully scoring almost identical tries after Blackrock restarts, however Alex Ropeti slow to get the eye in with the boot with failed conversions but Nenagh still held an early 10-0 advantage.
