Kiladangan rediscovering their best form
Kiladangan 2-23
Drom & Inch 0-20
Kiladangan produced a performance full of purpose as they got their County Senior Hurling Championship campaign off to the best possible start on Saturday evening in accounting for Drom & Inch.
Nine points probably wasn’t a true reflection of the contest considering Drom were right in it until the last ten minutes but overall Kiladangan were the slicker outfit, moving the ball quickly and were able to find men in space throughout, compared to Drom were more direct in their approach and while they got good forward performances from David Butler and Tommy Nolan, were unable to get Seamus Callanan on the ball as they would have liked.
Much of that was down to the close marking of James Quigley and Darren Moran who rarely let the Tipp captain out of their sight, holding him to one point from play, that from one of the rare occasions he got a chance to run on the Kiladangan rearguard.
