Tipp overcome red card to reach league final
Tipperary 3-9
Westmeath 1-12
by Rose Mannion in Banagher
Tipperary's Intermediate camogie team set up a date with Kilkenny in the final of Division 2 of the National League after they beat last years runners-up Westmeath despite finishing with fourteen players in a thrilling encounter on Sunday.
The outcome was in doubt right to the final whistle so tight was the margin with Sinead Meagher's 52nd goal proving to the decisive score for the Premier girls.
For the Lakesiders, they will be bitterly disappointed for losing out in such a manner given that they went to the final last year and were hopeful of progressing to division 1 this time around.
