O’Dwyer rediscovering his mojo signals good times for Tipp

If there was a player that was symptomatic of Tipperary’s change in fortune based on last Sunday it was John O’Dwyer.

An undoubted talent, the best hasn’t been seen from the Killenaule man since 2016 but the 2019 version appears to be Bubbles at his best, leaner and fitter than ever before and when in this mood, is virtually unplayable, contributing seven points from play from centre forward, but also helped knit the forward line together.

“It’s something we have been working on a lot in training, our shooting because last year we felt our scoring efficiency wasn’t great,” he said.

“We have six forwards and two midfielders, and even our half backs are good strikers of the ball and all three got points today so we have scorers all over the field so it’s good that everyone chips in.”
