Cadell ready to stake his claim
By Cóilín Duffy
Paddy Cadell expects nothing easy against Waterford as Tipperary face into the Bord Gais Energy Munster Under 20 Hurling Championship next Tuesday.
Cadell was a part of the Tipperary side that won the Under 21 All-Ireland title last September, but with the change in grade to Under 20's this year it means that many of the same personnel aren't around.
“We won the All-Ireland Under 21 title last year with a lot of players that had an extra year, but now that it's gone back to Under 20's, we maybe have six or seven from the panel last year. Definitely it's a new look,” he said.
“There's fellas coming from the successful Munster Minor Championship winning team. Yeah it's a new look but there's definitely a lot of fellas there and they definitely want to stake their claim, and really make that panel against Waterford.”
The JK Brackens clubman says there's a great setup in the Tipperary camp, and that everyone has been very keen in training in recent weeks for Championship action.
"We have Liam Cahill in charge again with his back-room staff of Mikey Bevens, Sean Corbett and TJ Ryan so things are going very well,” he said.
“They have been similar to previous years in that everyone is working very hard and chomping at the bit to try and get a Championship start come 9th July."
