Council to host discussion on Brexit

Tipperary Co Council is to hold a discussion on Brexit with business people in the Nenagh area.

Local representatives received a presentation from the council's Community & Enterprise section at a recent meeting of Nenagh Municipal District. Cllr Ger Darcy (FG) said Brexit was “the elephant in the room” during the presentation. He was amazed at the amount of people that don't realise the council has a Community & Enterprise office and the support it provides for people involved in small-scale enterprise.

Cathaoirleach Cllr Joe Hannigan (Ind) suggested holding an information meeting for local business people with C&E representatives.

Senior Enterprise Officer Mary Ryan said September would be the best time to have this meeting in advance of Brexit.
