Signatures sought for petition on restoring Nenagh A&E

On Saturday, September 14th, members of the 'Nenagh needs its A&E' group will be outside Eason in Nenagh from 10am to 5pm collecting signatures for a petition.

This petition will be delivered to Mr Simon Harris, Minister for Health. We want him to tackle the overcrowding crisis in the University Hospital in Limerick by upgrading Nenagh and Ennis hospitals to their full potential and to re-instate their A&E departments.

The Nenagh, Ennis and Limerick groups have joined together to form the Midwest hospital campaign. This campaign was launched today, Wednesday, September 11th, in Limerick and all groups will be having a petition signing day on Saturday, September 14th.

We are reaching out to the people of Nenagh to support this campaign by signing this petition. We all know or have experienced the horror of the overcrowding crisis in UHL and we all need to come together now to stop this getting worse or there will be blood on our hands if this continues.

There will also be an online petition for people to sign on the 'Nenagh Needs its A&E' Facebook page, so people can go there for more information, or if anyone would like to take a petition form for their club, group or organisation, please let us know.
