More time for Nenagh nursing home plan
Tipperary Co Council has received an application to extend the duration of planning permission for an extension at Nenagh Manor Nursing Home.
The plan involves construction of a two-storey extension to the existing Protected Structure at Yewston, incorporating 10 additional single bedrooms with en-suite facilities. Also included in the plan are two lounges, a corridor link at the first floor to the existing annexe building, alterations to the service road and minor internal alterations, which are required to provide access to the new extension and link corridor.
The council granted conditional permission for the development in January 2015. In recent correspondence with the council, agent G Davenport Architecture & Design stated that “the applicant was directly affected by economic factors outside of their control which mitigated against the commencement of development”. A five-year extension of the duration of planning permission is therefore sought.
