North Tipperary & District League Review
By Padraig Hogan
Nenagh Celtic moved three points clear at the top of the North Tipperary & District League Premier Division with a comprehensive 4-0 win at home to Thurles Town on Sunday.
Celtic had come into this game full of confidence after a narrow win over title rivals Borroway Rovers in the Ricky Fogarty Cup the previous weekend, and they will be pleased with the continuation of their impressive form.
Mikey Hynes was the hero on the day with a hat-trick while Danny O’Donoghue also chipped in with a goal and this win sees Henry Newman’s side pull three points clear of Borroway in second with three games remaining.
This Sunday Nenagh Celtic welcome TSDL side Clonmel Celtic to the VEC for the first round of the FAI Junior Cup for what promises to be a cracking tie.
Elsewhere in the top division, Killavilla United ensured they remain in the title hunt with a 4-2 win away to local rivals Moneygall.
