Seven times defending champions Burgess/Duharra booked their place in another County Senior Camogie final with ease as they had too much quality and class for a young Cashel side in the semi-final on Saturday.
This was indeed the expected result from this clash. For a very young and in-experienced Cashel side, who for this crop of girls, was their first senior county semifinal, they worked very hard throughout and had many chances at goal but just hadn’t the scoring power up front. Their well known stars such as Orla O’Dwyer and her sister Aine, Karin Blaire and Nicole Shelly featured, but they were playing without one of their star players Caoimhe Perdue because of injury and she was a major loss to them.
However, Burgess/Duharra had too much quality and experience as they aim to make it eight in a row later this month against Drom & Inch.
