Rearcross the only North club to progress in FAI Cup

The FAI Junior Cup resumed at the weekend with five teams from the NT&DL facing difficult ties against TSDL opposition in the third round.

Rearcross were the only side to who managed to progress to the next round as they recorded a hugely impressive 6-1 win over TSDL Division 1 side Old Bridge.

Rearcross have had an up and down season but they put all that behind them with an excellent performance. Michael O’Gorman has been top scorer for his side the last number of seasons and he kept up this form with an incredible four goals on the day. Stephen Rochford and Philly Deegan also chipped in with goals for Robert Harrington’s side, who progress now into the open draw.
