Just seven days after regaining the Tipperary title, Drom & Inch are through to a Munster Senior Camogie Championship Final after making the trip South worthwhile in overcoming Cork champions Sarsfields on Sunday.

The Cork side became the latest casualty of Drom & Inch’s sheer workrate, drive and determination as the girls in red and green progressed to the provincial final on 9-10 November against Clare's Scarriff/Ogonnelloe.

For most of the Drom girls, this was new territory for them, apart from Joanne Ryan, given it was eight years since their last Munster semi-final appearance. Their opponents Sarsfields bridged a 30 year gap to win their first county final two weeks ago, so they were tasting Munster for the first time.

The evenly matched sides battled it out to the very last in a game that the result was in doubt right up to the final whistle. Level on seven occasions with many missed chances at both ends, it was the Drom girls who ground out the one point victory to great scenes of joy.
