Bring out your trees!

The 2019 Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival was officially launched on Friday night when 50 or so people enjoyed fellowship, two Christmas songs from the St Mary’s choir, and meeting representatives from our partner for this year, CARMHA, Connection And Recovery in Mental Health & Addiction. We are so lucky to have such a facility right here in Nenagh.

Rev Rod Smyth, Rector of the Church of Ireland Nenagh Union of Parishes, welcomed everyone and particularly our friends from CARMHA, which provides free, easy-to-access counselling and support services for people over 18 years with all addiction (alcohol, drugs, gambling) and associated mental health issues, as well as for family members in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Anyone who wants to get in touch with CARMHA can find the office at 81 Silver Street, or by phone, 087 7722671, or e-mail: carmha@outlook.ie.

The Christmas Tree Festival will be from December 11th to 15th, 1pm-6.30pm, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 10.30am-6.30pm on Saturday and 10.30am to the Carol Service, which is scheduled to start at 5pm on Sunday.

To enter your tree(s), please contact Lisa Drummond by text (086 8206514) or e-mail (lisadrum66@gmail.com) by December 6th. We need your name, your contact details, which category you wish to enter (Business or Retail, Individual, Organisation), and when you hope to bring in your tree(s). Set up times are Saturday 7th from 2-6pm and Monday 9th from 4-8pm. Trees can be removed the day after the festival ends, or after Christmas.

We encourage you to use all your creativity and once again make this community event a special time for everyone. It is truly amazing to see what inventive minds can design and develop for the Christmas Tree Festival.
