Gardaí issue gun licence appeal

Gardaí are warning firearms holders in the local district that action will be taken against those who fail to renew their licences.

With the shooting season opening again last week, large number of firearms licences still remain outstanding in the Nenagh district. The Superintendent has directed that these outstanding licences must be addressed and prosecutions will be pursued where firearms owners fail to meet their obligations.

Gardaí are warning that firearms will be seized if necessary.
