The Friends of Nenagh Hospital are delighted to announce that they have purchased a Bariatric Chair with a BMI calculator for the out-patients department of Nenagh hospital.

Chairperson of the Friends, Declan McGee, said: “This purchase benefits wheelchair-confined patients and was financed through contributions from the people of Nenagh and surrounding areas.”

The chair is made from composite and metal with secure locking wheels and has a weight capacity of 300kg. It is also capable of providing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) data downloads to Wi-Fi and USBs. Medical staff at Nenagh hospital have said that the response from users of the chair was extremely positive and thanked the Friends for the purchase.
