Tipperary Senior & Intermediate Camogie panel for 2020 announced
Tipperary Senior and Intermediate Manager Bill Mullaney has announced a strong senior/intermediate panel for the 2020 season.
All concerned will be delighted to see players who were unavailable last year return to the panel including Ciardha Maher, Sarah Fryday, Mary Bourke and Roisin Howard. Tipperary begin their Littlewoods Ireland National League campaign on Sunday 2nd February with an away game against Limerick, while the Intermediates will begin their defence of the National League Division 2 crown with a Sunday 9th February fixture at home to Dublin.
Tipperary hope to have Brisbane Lions Aussie Rules player Orla O’Dwyer back on their panel by mid May when their season ends ahead of the championship. Many players are also currently busy with third level camogie fixtures including the upcoming Ashbourne cup tournament.
Tipperary have had recent challenge games against University of Limerick and Clare, while on Sunday last they played two challenge games in St Patricks College, Thurles where the Intermediates played St Vincents of Dublin and the Seniors took on Cork. Tipperary blitzed Cork with five first half goals but a Cork second half recovery reduced the margin with Tipperary claiming victory by five points. Next weekend, Tipperary Intermediates and Seniors play challenge games against Kilkenny, under their new manager Brian Dowling.
