Our Lady's Secondary School Templemore succumbed to a well-drilled and tactically adept St. Flannan’s College Ennis side following an enthralling Harty Cup semi-final clash on Saturday.

Strategically polished and espousing sweeper-focused tactics that have served them well throughout this year’s campaign St. Flannan’s stifled the best Our Lady’s Templemore could muster and in the end proved that little bit stronger than the 2017 Harty Cup and All-Ireland champions.

Bidding to reach their first final since 2007, St. Flannan’s faced a strong Our Lady’s side peppered with up and coming young talent but with Flannan’s boasting seven of last year’s Clare minors they faced a formidable challenge in the guise of the famed Ennis hurling nursery.

The opening half proved a tight affair and despite not playing particularly well Our Lady's were happy to lead by a solitary point at the break considering the strength of what was easily a three to four point breeze.
