Sympathy and solidarity with the family of Detective Garda Horkan
In support of Public Health Guidelines members of An Garda Síochána, Garda Staff, Garda Reserves and retired members of An Garda Síochána seeking to show their respects and express their sympathy and solidarity with the family of Detective Garda Colm Horkan will parade at their local Garda Station/ permanent assigned Garda Station and will observe a formal public one minute’s silence at 12 noon on Sunday.
In support of public health guidelines An Garda Síochána requests that members of the public, wishing to express their sympathies and condolences also observe a one minute silence at 12 noon at their homes.
The Funeral Mass for the repose of the soul of the late Detective Garda Colm Horkan RIP will be celebrated today at 12 noon, in Saint James’ Church, Charlestown, Co Mayo, in the Diocese of Achonry. The chief celebrant of the Mass will be Monsignor Tommy Johnston, Parish Priest of Charlestown, who will also deliver the homily.
The Mass will be broadcast by RTÉ on its app and digital television channel NewsNow and by MidWest Radio 96.1FM (www.midwestradio.ie) as well as being live-streamed on www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/charlestown and on www.seeitonline.ie
