Cocaine seizure in Nenagh

Gardaí have arrested a man and seized €6,000 of suspected cocaine in Nenagh, on Sunday, June 28th.

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Co Tipperary, Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by Nenagh Gardaí, executed a search warrant at a house in Nenagh town.

 

During the course of the search Gardaí seized €6,000 of suspected cocaine and a weighing scales. Gardaí from the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit also attended and photographed the scene and the seized items. The suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis.  

 

A man, aged in his late 30s, was arrested at the scene and brought to Nenagh Garda Station. He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and was later released. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
